The Setai, Miami Beach sponsors the EF Education-EasyPost team
'We’re excited to represent them across France this summer'
South Beach’s iconic 5-star hotel The Setai, Miami Beach has just announced its sponsorship of the EF Education-EasyPost pro cycling team for this year’s Tour de France, which started on July 1 in Copenhagen, Denmark.
The team’s cars and bus, traveling from Denmark to Paris this July, sport palm trees and The Setai, Miami Beach branding, bringing a bit of the beach to the French countryside.
EF Education-EasyPost is a US professional road cycling team founded in 2003. The team has been a UCI WorldTour participant since 2009 and is headed up by former US racing cyclist Jonathan Vaughters. Since its launch, its riders have won stages in all three of cycling’s Grand Tours in France, Italy, and Spain, along with the overall title at the Giro d’Italia. The team has also won four of cycling’s five “Monuments,” the biggest one-day races in the sport, in Paris-Roubaix (2011), Liège-Bastogne-Liège (2013), the Giro di Lombardia (2014) and the Tour of Flanders (2019). The team first entered the Tour de France 14 years ago.
The Setai, Miami Beach is delighted to sponsor a team for whom sportsmanship, character, and ethical competition are core values. The team competes in races across the world and prides itself on inspiring cyclists of all kinds.
“I’m thrilled to welcome The Setai, Miami Beach to our team this summer at the Tour de France,” said Jonathan Vaughters, the CEO of the EF Education-EasyPost team. “The Setai, Miami Beach is a great new partner for us, and we’re excited to represent them across France this summer.”
EF Education-EasyPost riders are in a special uniform for the 2022 Tour de France only: a special jersey designed to celebrate women’s cycling in the run-up to the Tour de France Femmes, which starts on July 24. The EF Education-TIBCO-SVB women’s WorldTour team will also wear the same uniform.
