Bike check: American champion Sean Quinn’s LAB71 SuperSix EVO

Sean will debut his special-edition stars-and-stripes Cannondale at the Tour de France on the fourth of July

July 4, 2024

Sean Quinn will premiere a one-of-a-kind Cannondale LAB71 SuperSix EVO today at the Tour de France.

The Fourth of July will be Sean’s first ride on the bike Cannondale built him to celebrate his win at the US national championships. For the American champ from LA, it’s an honor to fly Old Glory on the roads of France this summer.

“It's an opportunity to represent the country on the world's biggest stage,” he says. “I will just do my best and try to make everyone proud, because I will be representing a lot of people by flying that flag.”

Decked out in stars-and-stripes livery, his new stock LAB71 SuperSix EVO matches his US national champs jersey. It’s Cannondale’s ultimate race bike—the culmination of over 50 years of innovation.

The American brand’s engineers revolutionzed bike engineering again when they created the LAB 71 SuperSix EVO. The product of their work is a sprint-winning, uber-aero breakaway machine, designed to float up climbs thanks to its feathery weight and dive into corners and snap out of them, thanks to its racy geometry and hyper-stiff carbon construction.

Sean has gone all-in on aerodynamics for the Tour, mounting Vision Metron 60SL wheels on his bike with fast and grippy Vittoria Corsa Pro rubber.

The American champ rides 54t-40t FSA chainrings on his FSA K-Force cranks with 11-32 cassette on the back. He clips into Wahoo SPEEDPLAY AERO pedals and tracks his watts on his Wahoo ELEMNT Bolt.

A Prologo Scratch Dimension CPC 143 saddle and Prologo bar tape wrapped tight around his MOMOdesign cockpit complete his new stars-and-stripes ride.

Watch out for Sean at the front of the pack at the Tour de France. In the meantime, check out the full specs of Sean’s Cannondale LAB71 SuperSix EVO.
