Alberto Bettiol’s LAB71 SuperSix EVO
Alberto is bringing the fastest lightweight road bike Cannondale has ever made to Strade Bianche
Fausto Coppi would be jealous.
Alberto Bettiol is going to race Strade Bianche on his Cannondale LAB71 SuperSix EVO. Cannondale’s engineers have refined the SuperSix platform to create the fastest, ultralight race bike they could imagine.
Alberto’s LAB71 SuperSix EVO is sculpted for speed. Every detail of his bike has been considered, every component analyzed, every material optimized. Strade Bianche might harken back to the golden age of Italian cycling, but it takes a hyperfast modern race bike to compete on the white gravel roads of Tuscany in 2023.
Alberto will run 30mm Vittoria Corsa tubeless tires and Vision Metron 45 SL wheels for the Tuscan classic. This combination provides the ideal balance of traction for the steep gravel climbs and low rolling resistance for the race’s asphalt sectors. With an 11-34 cassette and 54/40 FSA chainrings, he will be able to spin up Strade's relentless climbs, so he has strength in his legs for the finale.
At Strade Bianche, Alberto hopes to join the bike-racing greats, who have written their names into Italy’s national story with their feats on the white gravel roads of Tuscany. The likes of Fausto Coppi, Gino Bartali, and Costante Giradengo embraced the most advanced technology in their day. It’s a new era. They would love Alberto’s LAB71 SuperSix EVO.
It’s not just fast. It’s beautiful.
