Tour de France Femmes Daily | Stage 2 | Cédrine hangs tough on home roads
Squad stays safe on tough Breton stage
July 27, 2025
We’re two stages into the Tour de France Femmes and Cédrine Kerbaol still likes her chances.
Today’s stage was a special one for Cédrine. The day’s racing kicked off in her hometown of Brest and supporters were everywhere: at the bus, team presentation, throughout the route, and at the finish. It meant the world to the 24-year-old to share the biggest race with her loved ones.
The stage proved to be just as hard as last night’s opener. As the peloton raced southward towards Quimper, the famous winds of Brittany picked up. A tailwind pushed the peloton towards a nervous finale with a tough finishing climb.
Cédrine hit the base of the hill further back then she would have liked, but pushed hard to make up spots and reached the summit just a few seconds behind the front of the sprint.
She is 27 seconds back in the race for the yellow jersey, going into tomorrow’s lumpy third stage from La Gacilly to Angers, and feeling strong.
Read our riders’ thoughts from the finish in Quimper.

Home stage. There were a lot of people around at the start and so many also at the finish. It was some extra motivation. It made me smile actually, the first time we crossed the line, but on the second time it was so full gas that I couldn’t hear anything or see.
We did really good teamwork today. I’m really confident about my abilities to give it back to the team, because right now I’m a bit disappointed, but we know that more fitting stages for us are coming!
I’m feeling great. I'm looking forward to a longer climb, more than five kilometers, to have a bit more fun, to be able to attack.

Today’s stage was good. The whole time we stayed with Cédrine, positioning her. We lost a few spots in the last kilometer, where we lost each other, but then I got back, just a couple of riders in front of Cédrine and I waited for her. She passed me flying. On the line, we lost a few seconds, but in the mountains Cédrine’s climbing legs will make it back.

Oh, man. That was so fast. Tailwind and so many bumps in the road. Hills. Mountains! A bit of chaos, that’s for sure. I think we got the right people we needed into the finale, so job done.

Today was really hard. There were a lot of punchy climbs. It was just super hard from the start.
